Today is 1.11.11
Michael said to me the other day:
“Do you realize that this will only happen again one more time? On 2.22.22. Because there is no 3.33.33!”
This is true! I hope it’s a lucky day for everyone! I know I could use some luck right about now!
I am working hard on a info packed post for you all. I promised you last week that I would put together a post on “healthy eating.” So that is what I am doing. It take a lot of time and energy for me to NOT ramble when I do these types of posts. As well as make sure I put in all the information I want, and cover all my ground, in so little words (so you all don’t get blogger ADD). Stay tuned. I should have it up tomorrow or Thursday. Hopefully.
For today…my post is going to be completely random (along with my baby name announcement!):
Random topic number 1:
The baby has been kicking like CRAZY for a few weeks now! She always stops once Michael comes over to feel. I think she has stage freight
But he FINALLY felt her last week, and then again hard core the other night. He said it felt like muscle spasms. When I first felt her move it felt almost like fluttering, or gas bubbles in my stomach. Then it started to feel like popcorn popping. Now I’d have to agree with Michael…it feels like muscle spasms, except they are coming through my stomach. It’s the most AMAZING thing in the world. Feeling LIFE inside of your belly. I even see my belly move when she kicks now! My child is in there! How incredible is that!!??
#2:
Speaking of belly movement…I was having terrible stomach pains yesterday. ALL afternoon. It wasn’t abdominal pain, or anything to do with the baby. Or so I think. From what I gathered it was more of a “something I ate” pain. It was not fun. All I had for breakfast was a 1/2 cup of this with some almond milk. I was in a rush:
Usually when I have this it’s MUCH less. I usually add a few tablespoons into my oats, or yogurt, or something like that. However, I have been obsessed with it lately and decided I wanted to have a whole bowl of it for breakfast. My cereal bowls are very small, and I really only had a half a cup…but I don’t know. My pregnant belly didn’t like all that soluble fiber. It could of been the fact that I had the black bean burrito for dinner, and then this for breakfast. Who knows. All I know is pre-pregnancy, this would have never bothered me.
#3.
Belly aches aside. Rumor has it that we’re getting some snow here in Philly tonight. Last year, we had SEVERAL blizzards. This year, it seems we are just getting these annoying 4-6 inchers that prevent me from getting to my clients in the morning; and makes the traffic in the afternoon a pain in the toosh. I am an all or nothing kind of gal. Give me a blizzard, or give me nothing at all. None of this in between where I need to go out and clean annoying snow, or make a decision to cancel clients or not. In a blizzard, it’s no question. In a 6 incher…it’s inconvenient. And people mob the grocery stores. Boo. Go big or go home.
On the plus side, Munchkin LOVES the snow:
We decided that you may be getting a Munchkin photo per day. He is such a ham.
random topic #4:
I read a very interesting article that made me feel MUCH better about my lack of warming up my car in the morning. Do you up warm up your car in the winter? I kind of just put it into gear and go. No matter how cold it is. Time is money, and I don’t have the patience to sit there for 10 minutes and wait for my car to get warm early in the morning.
This is something to read if you are nuts about warming up your car. Apparently the only benefit is your comfort.

I MISS DOING ALL THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLANKS IN THE WORLD. SO MUCH. SO MUCH. SO MUCH.
But. You should not have to suffer. Here’s your motivation of the day. Do these plank moves….for me. Since I can not. Add them into your next workout

OK. The time has come. Another baby news reveal for you
Michael and I decided on a name for our baby girl!!!
Are you ready for it???
Here you go……..
In the Jewish religion you name after a relative who has passed away. She will be named after Michael’s grandfather, Edward, who meant a lot to him. And my Grandfather, Matthew, who passed away on Christmas Eve 11 years ago. I will also honor my grandmother who passed away right after Christmas, Mary. I am not Jewish, but I wanted to honor my grandparents as well. The plan was to try and incorporate Matthew into my baby’s name. Then, on Christmas, one of the last times I spoke to my grandmother. I told her that my baby girl would be named after her and Pop Pop. I know he was waiting patiently for her, and that this news would have made them both happy.
I hope everyone has a great day!
xxoo

Awwww I LOVE the name! It is beautiful, thanks for sharing. I hear we are supposed to get a foot tomorrow in New Jersey. In the winter I become obsessed with tracking the weather because I am hoping for a snow day tomorrow.
You guys are getting KILLED with it in Jersey. I definitely predict a snow day for you! I want a foot! It’s like go big or go home!
Beautiful name
. Here, we don’t have any snow! All gone. And people say Canada has a lot of snow…

I am sure they do! And thanks
What a beautiful name! I love it, that’s one of the girl names I’d love to call a future girl of mine. It’s such a pretty name Ella.
Thanks, Susan! I have loved it from the beginning
Oh my goodness Ella is an absolutely gorgeous name. I love it. I always love those super cute pictures of your cat.
xo
Ella is totally going to be a daddy’s girl–stopping the kicks when he comes over and all! This is just the beginning lol. Have I told you I absolutely love the name? No?? Well I do, it’s just cute and elegant.
I am all for Munchkin pics every day. If a person can’t smile at a little furry creature, they have no heart in my eyes. Well, furry creatures like cats and dogs, not rats. Eww.
I need to do more planks, thanks for the reminder. And yay for 1.11.11 I am so excited I am celebrating by going back to bed since I just heard work is closed, hooray!
That’s a good point! I will have to tell him that
I’m loving the name laury! So so pretty!! I had a roommate in college named Ella and I have nothing but good connotations with that name! Love it!
ps. Are you going to talk about protein supplements in your nutrition post? I think I’ve heard you mention you take protein supplements (maybe I’m making that up). I’ve always been skeptical of them so I’ve never done that much research and since I almost never work with athletes….I rarely get asked about it. INterested in your thoughts or what you take and going to search if you’ve already discussed this!
I definitely can! I don’t really supplement with protein too much. I would maybe use it a few times a week in my oats because I always do better when I have protein, carb and fat together. I haven’t used it in months though!
You will be back to planks sooner than you know! Love how active the baby is-we all know who they take after:) Adore the name!
I love getting a picture of munchkin every day — he is such a darling!!!
Ella Morgan is pefect!!
<3 love you, last part actually made me cry. You are going to be such a wonderful mother, Ella Morgan is a very lucky little girl !
love you too, momma
i love the name ella! seriously, it’s one of my fave girl names! it’s so beautiful! i agree about the snow, all or nothing! hope your tummy woes sort themselves out
melissa @ the delicate place recently posted..Oh Hai
Sorry to hear about your tummy troubles! Unfortunately too MUCH fiber can cause just as much stomach distress as too little. Seems like you can never win huh?! Lol. Ahh! What a BEAUTIFUL name!! I think that’s so sweet that you are honoring your lived ones with her name! Love it!
ps. read some of your stuff! I just ordered SUn Warrior protein raw vegan, vanilla as suggested by Avery. We’ll see! Have you tried it? I wanted something for both brandon and I to use after the fairly intense weight lifting program we just started (esp. for him).
You may like it. I posted about it here:
http://www.thefitnessdish.com/?p=2809
I prefer Vega plant based protein over brown rice protein. If you are going to supplement with it, I think Sun Warrior and Vega are the most natural and healthy. That I know of.
When I am going back to working out really hard again, I will probably start using more protein supplements b/c of the no meat!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the name!!! Ella is so adorable. It’s unique too.
And you are so right that feeling life inside you is the most amazing thing ever. When Sam first felt Adam move, he was a bit freaked out! haha But then he grew to love it.
Yes to everyday Munchkin pics! I’ve been doing daily or every other day pics of Georgie–he’s a ham too!
That is a beautiful name!!
Sorry about your belly woes – I’m right there with you. Bad pains for the last couple days. Misery loves company?
You were bold to share her name!!! I’m glad all the comments are positive. When I shared some names we were considering, I got, “Oh, I had a kid in my class named X – he was a terror!” Or “The bully in my 6th grade class was named X – no one liked her.” Hopefully your bloggie friends will be nicer – whether they like the name or not! Lol. So far so good. I hope that meanie that told you to edit doesn’t have something mean to say about it. xoxoxo
LOL, I figured I had to claim it now!!!
No one can ruin it for me….I think it’s perfect!!! That meanie was probably on my blog for the first time that day, scanned it for errors, and hated all over it. That’s my assumption. I can’t believe people did that to you before Zachary was born. How rude!
No doubt feeling a real human life inside you would be absolutely amazing!! Hopefully she doesn’t stop one day for Michael to feel, too.
I LOVE the name!! Its so pretty! you are also naming her after her cool auntie Morgan over at the Little House of Veggies, right??????! haha Seriously though, I love that name. Its beautifuul
I dont ever have to warm up my car. in fact, I actually had to turn on the air conditioner the other day in So Cal. iWe realy dont get much of any winter here at all.
I need to start planking it up more,. I could use the toning in that region of my body.
During my pregnancys, food ALWAYS settles differently than usual. At the beginning of preg. #3 for me, I couldnt look at a salad bar for the life of me. I would see the broccoli and get ill just thinking about it. It went away, but maybe it was all the fiber in the cereal that was hard for your belly. I could totally see that with tons of fiber.
And last, I think you should make a “cute pictures of Munchkin” photo book and save all these amazingly precious little pictures of him! They are to die for cuteness!
xoxo

I love the name Ella Morgan! It has a beautiful flow to it and the fact that you named it after family really says a lot.

Great name! I’m already aware of that Jewish tradition… trying not to think about it too much because I would make choosing a name tough I’m sure.
And yes, gotta do something with this 1/1/11!

Totally pretty name! I think you could definitely do a 2 or 3 parter on eating healthy. I LOVE your information posts and if you are thinking of cutting something out due to space please think about just stretching it out.
I’m loving our 6 inches of snow, but I don’t have clients. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this post!

Love the name and I also love names that has a story behind them.
You won’t get any complaints over here about seeing Munchkin’s cute face every day! My cat looked out the window, saw the snow and parked herself so that her back was to the window. Ha! She’s a Florida kitty and I don’t think she liked what she saw.
I love plank pose, makes me feel so strong and accomplished!

Hope your tummy is feeling better!! That article about warming up your car is crazy! I never wanted to warm my car up, but my dad always told me that the car needed! Thanks for posting this! I love the name Ella!! So pretty!!
