Tropical Tango Love

Good afternoon, Chica-a-la’s!

I won’t even tell you about my morning. All I will say is lots of rain, lots of floods, traffic and no gas. Took my an hour to get 5 minutes from home and back when I realized I wasn’t getting anywhere. Good news..I ended up finally getting to the gym today and had a great workout! Bad news….my gymboss died???!!! Has this happened to anyone? It’s practically brand new and I tried other batteries in it…no luck :(


Warmed up with dynamic stretches

I had to do without the interval timer but here’s how my workout went. I did two separate circuits, 3 sets of each:

Circuit One:

-stair run: ran up and down a flight of 11 steps 5x

-Bosu side squat and hop x10

balance ball roll-out x15

-deep squat and overhead press with 12lb medicine ball x15

Circuit 2:

-backwards lunge and kick forward x10

-12lb medicine ball roll-up x15

-reverse grip lat pull down 50×15

-balance ball jacknife

I ended with doing a quick 1.5 miles on the elliptical and some stretching


Drink of the day:

I am obsessed.

Packed full of nutrients including protein, fibre, Omega-3, probiotics, and greens, it combines whole food goodness with fast food convenience.

Each serving of Vega Shake & Go Smoothie includes:

  • Two servings of veggies
  • 2500 mg Omega-3-6-9
  • 11 g complete protein

I add a heaping tablespoon to my oatmeal to make

-1/2 cup rolled oatmeal (can use gluten-free oatmeal)

-3/4 cup water

-1 T hemp seeds

-1 heaping Tablespoon tropical tango shake n’ go smoothie

-few splashes of unsweetened vanilla tempt hemp milk

cook oats in water in microwave for 2 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients. Simple, yet delicious.

The protein helps to sustain my hunger…and I am not adding hundreds of calories with a ton of ingredients.
